HWNY is building new digital services and redesigning existing ones. These are sometimes called ‘beta’ services.
Beta means that the service is not completely finished but it will still do everything it’s designed to do. Beta services will sometimes be available at the same time as an older, existing service and you can choose which one to use.
Using a beta service
Beta services are designed to be easier to use than the services they replace. You shouldn’t experience any difficulty when you use a beta service.
HWNY makes beta services available to users so that it can collect feedback and data. This is used to improve the finished service.
Replacing old services
Successful beta services eventually replace any other older services that perform the same task.
This doesn’t mean it won’t be improved again – HWNY is always being updated based on feedback from members of the public and other government departments.
