HealthQuest at Ithaca College

Live and learn about careers in exercise and sport sciences, occupational therapy, physical therapy, therapeutic recreation, speech-language pathology, and more on the beautiful Ithaca College campus, located on Ithaca’s South Hill overlooking Cayuga Lake. This five-day experience is for Central New York students entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.

At HealthQuest, you will:

  • Explore a variety of health careers through interactive workshops;
  • Learn from health professionals and college instructors;
  • Identify the skills needed to succeed in health care; and
  • Meet new people while experiencing dorm living and campus life!

The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance is proud to sponsor the annual HealthQuest resident summer camp!

  • The health careers covered in camp will highlight the health sciences and human performance programs offered at Ithaca College, which include exercise science, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, speech language pathology, and others.

  • SUNY Upstate Medical University offers Summer Career Awareness Days for students interested in medicine and nursing. Please visit www.upstate.edu for more information.

  • Students must submit an online application and include a recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.

  • A selection committee will review all applications. Students will be notified of their acceptance by June 1.

  • Space is limited to 32 students to keep activities hands-on and give personalized instruction.

  • HealthQuest students will stay in a secure residence hall on the Ithaca College campus and will be accompanied by camp staff at all times. Students are required to abide by all college housing rules.

    Note: Activities will be held at Ithaca College as well as at other affiliated clinical sites in the Ithaca area. Transportation will be provided to all off-campus sites.

  • Tuition for camp is $450 and includes meals, housing, and activities.

    If you are interested in becoming CPR/First Aid Certified at camp, tuition is $475.
