Health Workforce NY Role in DSRIP

Health Workforce NY is nonprofit organization based in Cortland, NY. We serve as the workforce vendors for three Performing Provider Systems (PPSs). PPSs are coalitions of healthcare providers working together to achieve the goals of New York State Department of Health’s Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, which are to reinvest in the Medicaid program and reduce avoidable hospital visits.

Vendor Benefits

These PPSs are in the process of determining a training strategy to help meet these goals. Many training needs have been identified for DSRIP related projects. One of the major themes of DSRIP is collaboration – so we are using Health Workforce Apps (HWapps) to connect and share resources. One area on the site, the Training Marketplace, is a space for vendors to upload information about their trainings, providing those making training decisions with access to a comprehensive listing of the resources available to them.
