YOUR HIT TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
If you have experience in either healthcare or technology then you are most likely eligible for this training opportunity and applicable discounts. Training and certification that would normally cost in excess of $2000 is available for only $250 (or potentially free if you are a veteran). This is made possible by a federal grant that will end in August of 2016.
SUNY Jefferson Community College and Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO) have partnered together to provide training opportunities in Health Information Technology (HIT) using curricula and instructional models orginally created by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT. This training prepares individuals for the HIT workforce and for nationally recognized HIT certifications. This is made possible by a federal grant and the support of our network members.
Health IT involves the use of technology in healthcare to lower costs, improve efficiency and reduce error, while also providing better consumer care and services.
