• How to implement SBIRT: This video from Ireta offers processes, tips, and examples from the field
• Ireta toolkit: Designed for practitioners and organizations who are using (or considering using) SBIRT in a variety of settings
• CASA Columbia’s SBIRT Implementation and Process Change Manual for Practitioners: Includes literature, resources and a toolkit that will help practitioners implement SBIRT. The manual is unique in that it suggests the use of a tailored implementation technique. It also includes checklists and worksheets to help with systems level change, an approach not found elsewhere.

Resources for patients:

• Beyond Hangovers. Knowing how much alcohol constitutes a standard drink can help you determine how much you are drinking. Learn and understand the risks and alcohol’s impact on your health.
• Harmful Interactions: Mixing Alcohol with Medications. This pamphlet lists medications that can cause harm when taken with alcohol and describes the effects that can result. The list gives the brand name by which each medicine is commonly known (for example, Benadryl®) and its generic name or active ingredient (in Benadryl®, this is diphenhydramine).
• Rethinking Drinking: Alcohol and Your Health. For anyone who drinks, Rethinking Drinking offers valuable, research-based information that answers questions such as:
