Rural Health Network of South Central New York, Inc. – Travel Voucher 2.0 Program

The Transportation Voucher program will serve the individuals of Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Tioga Counties.  The Getthere Call Center will arrange transportation or delivery to Medicaid recipients to destinations and services not eligible for Medicaid funded transportation, but essential to their health and prevention of hospital re-admissions, etc.  Vouchers will be redeemed through the Getthere Call Center.   Getthere staff will consider the need of the voucher recipient, transportation options and select an available, appropriate and cost effective transportation resource to meet the need.  Vouchers will be used to procure fuel cards, access to volunteer transportation programs (mileage reimbursement), public transportation and private (cab) transportation.   Vouchers are assigned by designated CCN/Leatherstocking partners to Medicaid recipients as needed to address priority transportation needs.  Vouchers are used to prevent hospital readmissions (e.g., Rx pick-up) and to intervene in personal crises (e.g., potential loss of specific benefits) that can be averted by provision of transportation services.
