It was a well done video with some good basic definitions of different terms. As it was geared more for a medical facility I felt it could have used more, other “real world” examples to better fit our workforce.

Because of the diverse population of people. People have different backgrounds, cultures, values, ethics, socioeconomics, literacy and language; you can not take the same approach with everyone. We have to be aware and identify ways to assist a participant/patient/client in health care, because of different language, cultures, values etc. What works for one may not work for the other.

Video was great!. Can’t wait until my staff reviews and learns from this video and gets some good ideas to put to good use while dealing with patients that have barriers with language and cultural differences.

This is something we should all strive for as humans, being aware and understanding of people other than those who are like us. Everyone deserves not only good medical treatment as stated in this course, but to have a life free from ignorance and stereotypes.

Culture differences are real. They should be respected even if you do not agree with the way another cultures does things.

This video was very well done, I enjoyed it. It makes you aware of the importance of practicing good customer service to all ethnic groups and cultures, and people who different than yourself. By treating people with respect, empathy, and love in your heart and not being bias makes for much better interactions and thus creating rewarding experiences in your life and job.
