Your HWapps Account

Your Data

At HWAPPS, we are committed to protecting you and your family’s personal information. We want our services to be safe and enjoyable environments for everyone.

When you interact within the HWAPPS platform, we sometimes receive or collect personal information about you.

For example, if you write to us or sign up to a newsletter, you might tell us who you are, how we can contact you and what you think of the organization and its services.

If you register for an HWAPPS account, we may ask you to provide some personal information, such as your email address, so that we can manage your registration.

This data is required to report general demographic information about participants in the categories below. This data will be confidentially maintained and will be referenced periodically to evaluate the effectiveness of AHEC services and programs. We appreciate your cooperation in the completion of this form.

The information we collect may vary depending on upon which service you’re using. However, the way we protect your personal information is always within the terms of our Privacy Policy.

We will use your information for a number of purposes including the following:

  • To provide you with services. For example, to send you a newsletter or a news alert, if you have asked for them.
  • To customize the way HWAPPS content is presented to you. For example, if you tell us your location we will be able to customize relevant local content.

We will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law.  Generally we will only use your information within the platform. However, we sometimes use third parties to provide services on our behalf, for example independent producers who make programs for us.

If you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to HWAPPS websites or otherwise engage in any disruptive behavior on any HWAPP service, we may use your personal information to stop such behavior.

Where we reasonably believes that you are or may be in breach of any applicable laws (e.g. because content you have posted may be defamatory), we may use your personal information to inform relevant third parties such as your employer, school email/internet provider or law enforcement agencies about the content and your behavior.
